Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy! Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy! This Hero Arts Winter Deer just makes me so darn happy! She is just the cutest. I love the detail and flexibility of the die set. It comes as 2 pieces. There is the deer unit and an outline. You can leave the positives and negatives all in tack or pop them out as I did here. Score one for me, I saved the antlers for another project. Yay!
Oh, and If you are a Black Friday shopper and pulled an all-nighter, or nearly all-nighter, kudos to you! I, too, am furiously gathering goods on this divine shopping day, but only in my slippers in front of the computer with hot java in hand!
PS: My apologies if you were one of those with multiple emails on that last post, oopsie! One small shift created a kerfuffle of issues. Finger crossed it is all resolved. Thanks for your patience.
This is a great project to use that random piece of cardstock you have laying on your desk. Yes, I know you have those too! This was an AWOL A2 panel I had floating around. With a palette knife I swiped Nuvo Embellishment Mousse in Pacific Teal across the panel and set is aside to dry. Next, I die cut the deer from Hero Arts metallic cardstock.
Then I White Puff heat embossed a chipboard die cut of Joy. Three layers of this fun embossing powder created a snow like look. Next, I whipped several quick loops of red thread around the O and an antler to attach them together. Once the mousse panel was dry I adhered the deer with Ranger Collage Medium – which has super sticking power. Adhere panel to A2 folded card base and your foiled deer pops on that shimmery teal background!
