Hiya friends! Today, I am excited to be celebrating alongside The Ton Stamps with their debut of two new fabulous washi tapes. Effie has taken her hand painted designs and created exclusive washies. They are beautiful! I’ve chosen to create with Pink Peonies with rose gold foil accents. I’m so obsessed with foiling these days, it was calling to me!
The Ton is celebrating their first washi tape release with two new washi tapes! There are some free gifts with purchase promotions ongoing. Head over to The Ton Stamps’ blog for more details.
On a side note, Effie has decided to stop offering coordinating dies with her stamp designs. Good news for you and I… she is offering her remaining coordinates at 30% off with the code BYEFEB30. They will not be restocked, so now is the time!
Apply one strip of washi tape to white cardstock. Trim to a scant A2 – so about 4″ x 5 1/4″. Trim panel in descending 1/8″ increments beginning with 1″, then 7/8″, then 3/4″ etc. all the way down to 1/4″. Add foam tape to each strip, in order, and adhere to folded card base with gaps between each strip. Have you no fear of washi tape – this is the good stuff!
Tip: add liquid glue onto the length of the foam tape to allow for create wiggle room allowing for perfect placement on card base.
Place Hugs die, cut side up, on Spellbinders Glimmer Foil Heat plate. Once heated through, cover die with Rose Gold Foil, dull side up. Place black cardstock to cover, and then the spacer plates. Pass through Platinum 6 die cutting and embossing machine to transfer foil. Then fussy cut by hand or with Scan N Cut. Die cut a black cardstock Hugs, as well. Adhere die cut Hugs to foiled hugs for a bit of dimension. Adhere set to washi tape stripped panel. The foiled Hugs outline will show nearly all the way around the die cut. I had a few places where it was hidden a touch, but because the die itself causes a tiny gap, when adjusted just perfectly the foil will show. Using liquid glue will allow for that touch of wiggle room to help with placement.
Stamp sentiment in black on white cardstock and trim down narrowly with Cut-Align. Adhere in place with dimensional adhesive.
Giveaway: Win one of The Ton’s new washi tapes! To enter, leave a comment on each blog. Effie will choose three winners and announce the winners on The Ton’s blog by March 9. The comment period for this giveaway will close on March 8 at 7pm EST.
Thank you so much for hopping along today. Carry on for more inspiration!
