Hello, crafty friends! Today, we are kicking off The Ton Stamps 6th Anniversary Celebration! I cannot believe it has been 6 years already. I have enjoyed creating with their beautiful designs from the beginning. Their design team was one of the first I was on. I still remember that email inviting me to join their team. I was blown away, who me?!?! I let out an audible squeal. I still love coloring up their designs!
In celebration, there is a four day hop and giveaway going on over at Instagram, hosted by The Ton. Find today’s project on my Instagram and follow the instructions listed there to be eligible to win!
Recreate this project by stamping Wild Blooms in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink on Canson Montval watercolor paper. Then directly emboss with Ultra Fine Clear embossing powder, no additional embossing ink needed. Watercolor blooms and leaves with Burgundy, Pale Orange, Skin, Olive Green, Lush Green and Cool Aqua Karin BrushMarker Pros.
My favorite way to color flowers with watercolor markers is layering. Adding layers of color bumps up the depth and adds interest. Can you spot the 3 colors in each of the flowers and leaves? They are there! Varying the order and amount of the same colors in each bloom provides entirely different looks!
While images are drying, stamp the two layered Ribbons Affirmations. The upstroke is created with one stamp and the down stroke with another. They are the easiest layering stamps I have ever used. The Ton uses registration marks to line up the layers perfectly. Quick and easy, every time. I did both layers in black, but I added Sparkle embossing powder to the upstroke. It was extremely hard to capture in a photo, but it beautiful in person. The shine and sparkle of the upstroke against the matte finish of the downstroke is quite striking and has a classic feel. Die cut stamped sentiment. Heat emboss mini sentiment in white onto black cardstock.
Die cut the blooms and leaves, and layer together onto a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ white cardstock panel. Adhere panel popped up on folded card base at 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. Adhere Lovely and Hello sentiments in place, popped up with foam tape.
Thank you for spending a few minutes of your time with me today. I hope that you have been inspired to create. Head to The Ton Stamps to find more of their fabulous release! Enjoy a fantastic day and happy crafting!
