Hi, ho, hello! I’m just a popping in right quick today to share a Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil quickie and mention a couple of great things happening over at Spellbinders. First, they’ve got a Summer Super Sale going on where some items are up to 50% off, plus there are incredible clearance deals. This girl loves a sale! My husband laughs and asks me to stop saving him so much money, haha – not a chance! Second, Spellbinders has a Glimmer Hot Foil Sweepstakes going on where you can win a $420 prize pack – including a Glimmer Hot Foil System, Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine, and Glimmer Hot Foil Plates! I’d say that’s worth a sec to click through and fill out the very basic entry form!
P.S. If you’d rather not play the odds of winning the sweepstakes, the Glimmer Hot Foil System and the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine are both on sale!

Recreate this project by hot foiling a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ white cardstock panel with Aura (a most awesome holographic foil) over the Hand Drawn Wave Glimmer Hot Foil Plate. Hot foil the Sending Love sentiment with the same foil, but on black cardstock.
TIP: a Tombow Mono Sand Eraser is great for getting rid of any overfoiling. I didn’t have any overfoiling with this project, but I’ve gotten to know my machine, my cardstock thickness and to trim the foil as near to the size needed without being so skimpy that it is a hassle to align. Too much pressure when passing through the die cutting machine to emboss and transfer the foil design will cause overfoiling every time. Just a little pressure will do!

Color a select few rainbows with Copic markers being cautious to avoid coloring over the foil. If by chance that does happen, I have had good luck removing the color – but not the foiling – with a Copic colorless blender. Highly pigmented colors, like red, could stain though.
Trim white panel down a smidge and adhere flat to a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ Pebble cardstock panel. Pop up black sentiment with foam tape. Adhere finished card to folded card base.
Copic Colors:
Pink: RV17, RV14
Red: R29, R22
Yellow: Y08, Y00
Green: YG23, YG11
Aqua: BG45, BG000
Giveaway: I am giving away a Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil Plate similar to the design I’ve used in today’s project, the Woven version. I have a duplicate and I’d love to pass it on! Enter to win by commenting on this post and I will contact the winner and post here in a few days sharing who that is. Good luck! ***Winner is Karen H!***
Thank you for stopping by. Don’t forget about the sales and sweepstakes over at Spellbinders! Have a beautiful week!

this is such a cute and simple card. I love it. you can color as much or as little as you want and it will still look great.
Love the clean look this card has.
I love the combination of the foil with the copics. Great design and thanks for the foiling tips. Do copics rub off on foil if you accidentally go over the foil?
This is a fabulous design – love the coloring – looks like the rainbows are shining. Your tips for over foiling are very useful, too – thanks for sharing:)
Great card! I love your colorful rainbows. And thanks for the great tips. I’m always looking for ways to perfect my foiling.
I love the effect of the glimmer foiling!!
what a cute card, love how you colored the rainbows and thank you for the info on the giveaway, that is HUGE
Your project is gorgeous. I love how you made the little rainbows!
Hi Janette! First, let me say, what your husbands says made me chuckle. Think most men can relate to that? lol I really find your CAS card with the colours & the gorgeous foiling right up my alley as I love CAS. I’ve always yearned to be able to add foil to my cards, but don’t have any way to do it, except maybe with an iron, which I haven’t tried. Our low CDN$ makes it a tad prohibitive to purchase much of anything. I’ve gone months with nothing new… sigh (Not saying I’m hard done by, honestly.) Giving away your extra Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil Plate is exceedingly generous. Thanks for the chance.
Very pretty card. I really like the depth of color you chose to offset the gold. Thanks for letting us know about this great FSJ giveaway.
Love your shiny fabulous creation, Janette!
Have not tried foiling yet but think I need to get busy after seeing this gorgeous card!
Love to make things shiny and bright.
Your offer is so generous and helpful – I
can make lots of my designs glow.
thanks for offering.
