Hello, friends! I am dropping in for a quickie today. This card was SO quick and easy! In fact, I whipped up a few while I was at it so I can continue my send, send, send campaign. When I ordered the Brushstrokes Glimmer Plates I had figured they were all connected somehow. I was pleasantly surprised when they showed up and they were not. Brushstrokes are already a universal design that can be used for a variety of designs, but these are awesome because I can rearrange them, space them out, push them together, use just a few, use just the stokes or stripes or any combination thereof. Genius!
Plug in the Glimmer Hot Foil System unit and let it get warming up while unpacking the plates themselves. Once warm, set the Glimmer plate(s) on top and press timer button. Trim Rainbow foil to size needed and and place color side down onto plates. When timer light goes out, align 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ white cardstock overtop and then stack on spacer plates and pass unit through Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. The combination of heat and pressure causes the foil to transfer to the paper (pretty much any paper!).
Repeat foiling steps with sentiment using a select section of color from the foil, as desired. Then die cut foiled sentiment (included with sentiments, yes!), and an additional blank from black cardstock. Adhere black as a shadow behind main sentiment and pop combo in place on brushed foil panel. Adhere finished panel to folded card base. It is as easy as that!
TIP: Prevent overfoiling with by adjusting pressure with shims. It doesn’t take much for a good transfer. Trim foil as close to size as needed without making it difficult. A sand eraser will quickly swipe away any stray marks.
May you each have a fabulous week! Happy crafting, my friends!
