Hello and welcome to the Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember release! This is one of my favorite times of year! Simon creates a month-long extravaganza celebrating all things stampy. They start off the month with their own new release. Items sell out super fast, but they will restock. Then throughout the remainder of the month they release collaborative designs with all of your favorite companies. The catch? They are only available at Simon, and only until they run out. They will not be restocked! Keep your eyes on Simon Says Stamp all STAMPtember long!
The projects I am sharing to kick off STAMPtember feature the new XL Sentiments. I’ve paired them with designs released last month, Drawn Daisies and Thinking of You (preprinted) Sentiment Strips, to show to drastically different designs using the same products.
Find a few of my favorite products from the STAMPtember release below and the full release HERE.
New Release Favorites

Mmmmm, fall is coming soon and this version of Sending Sunshine has that warm feel. It doesn’t quite feel like fall here in California’s Central Valley yet with our temps topping 100, but soon enough the leaves and the air will turn!
Find a full supply list HERE.

Recreate this project by Lemon Yellow heat embossing Sending Sunshine, from XL Sentiments, onto a scant A2 Smooth Bristol cardstock panel. Then, Penny heat embossing Drawn Daisies around perimeter.

Color petals with Karin Brushmarkers in Gold, Sandstone and Canary. Flower centers in Sandstone, Henna and a touch of black. Leaves in Lush Green and Sulphur Yellow. Once dry, mount panel with foam tape onto an A2 Smooth Bristol cardstock panel with the border colored in Turquoise. Attach finished panel to folded card base. Add Thinking of You Sentiment Strip with foam tape for dimension.

This card, featuring the same products, has a much bolder and brighter look. I couldn’t choose my favorite. I love them both for different reasons. You choose a favorite by commenting on this blog post and I’ll choose a winner for each card and happy mail your fave to you!
Find a full supply list HERE.

Recreate this project by stamping Drawn Daisies in Gina K’s Obsidian Amalgam ink (perfect for watercolor and alcohol markers). Then, Ultra Clear heat emboss XL Sentiment, Sending Sunshine, with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink at top of design overlapping flowers slightly. This ink stays juicy so no need for a separate embossing ink!
TIP: Let each area dry before painting the one next to it or risk a bleeder, like I got with the stem above. Another option is to heat emboss the design creating little wells to contain the water and color. Rushing is clearly not the answer! 😂

Color petals much like the fall version, with Karin Brushmarkers in Amber, Gold, and Canary (just swapping Sandstone for Amber). Flower centers in Sandstone and Henna (no black). Once dry, outline letters of Sending Sunshine sentiment that overlap flowers with a white Posca Paint pen to add clarity and separation. Mount finished panel to folded card base. Add Thinking of You Sentiment Strip with foam tape for dimension.
Thank you for allowing me to share my creativity with you. I appreciate you, and I hope that you’ve been inspired to do some creating of your own. Head to Simon to find more of their awesome release or to their STAMPtember gallery for more inspiration! Have a beautiful day!
xo, Janette
