Hello and welcome to the Simon Says Stamp Hello Beautiful release! It has been a hot minute since I have been cardmaking and this was just what I needed to get me back in the craft room! The release is chock full of spring designs ushering in sunny, warm and joy filled days. Find a few of my favorite products below and the full release HERE.
The project I am sharing features the ever versatile Mix and Match Circle Stencil. I truly feel that stencils give the most bang for the buck, in cardmaking and beyond. This stencil rolls in at $6.99, and in a matter of a minute I can come up with dozens of ways to create with it. So many ink blending ideas from solid to variegated. Blend it once, shift and blend again with circles offset. Create a bokeh design. Stamp over the stencil. Ink openings ever so lightly and then watercolor the shapes or negative spaces. Use texture pastes. Mist water and use color burst powders. Trace the circles for outline styled designs. So much fun, um excuse me…. I’ve got to get back in the craft room!
New Release Favorites

Recreate this project by securing Mix & Match Circles onto 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" white bristol panel and then ink blending with Kitsch Pink, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide inks. Overlap colors to create a smooth transition and secondary colors. I find it easiest with traditional ink blenders with domed foam. No lines or accidental swipe marks, please and thanks! Domed foam is the way to go!
Find a full supply list HERE.

While stencil remains in place, use a palette knife to swipe glitter paste evenly over inked panel. I used a chunky Vicki Boutin Iridescent Glitter Paste, but it seems to be out of stock everywhere I look (thanks, 'rona), but I have linked another similar-ish iridescent glitter paste.
While allowing panel to dry, die cut 2 Paper Hugs in black, stack and adhere together. Trim up a Sentiment Strip.
Attach Paper Hugs to dry panel and pop sentiment strip in place with foam tape. Adhere complete panel to folded card base.
Thank you for taking your time with me today. Head to Simon to find more of their Hello Beautiful release or to their gallery for more inspiration! Enjoy a fantastic day and happy crafting!
