Hello and welcome to the Simon Says Stamp Love You, Too release! The team at Simon truly employs the most incredible designers and visionaries. Their releases are always so dang good! I’ve shared with you, just a few, of my favorites below. You can find the full fantastic release HERE.
The project I am sharing today features the Large Raindrops Stencil. Coming in at 6″ x 9″ it is tall enough for the trendy slimline style cards and wide enough for a horizontal A2 (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) card. Stencils are a great and inexpensive addition to any crafty collection! Use with inks, texture pastes, mists and more, or use dry to emboss cardstock.
New Release Favorites

Recreate this project by ink blending Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide over Large Raindrops Stencil onto white cardstock. Once dry, trim down to about 8 1/8″ x 3 1/8″. On a lightweight paper, like scrap copy or tracing paper, adhere a long length of Be Creative dry tape adhesive. Adhere 1/4″ strips of cardstock at an angle in Doll Pink, Green Apple, Mint, Audrey Blue and Blue Violet. Strips of scrap cardstock work wonderfully, as well. I prefer to start in the middle and work outwards. You do what is comfortable for you!
Find a full supply list HERE.

Once all strips are in place, trim strip panel to 3 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ or use Simon’s Nested Slimline Dies. Next, die cut the background Hang In There layer from the center of the panel just cut. Not to worry, the missing segment will be covered! Adhere white die cut letters to the stripped Hang In There background layer.
Assemble project by adhering stripped slimline panel to a folded card base, pop the raindrop panel on with foam tape, adhere a die cut sun, adorable Sneaky Kitties and then the sentiment on top popped up. Cut apart and rearrange kitties as needed. Create your very own Slimline Envelope with this fab die!
In addition to my love of papercrafting, I have taken on a new hobby as of late – pottery! I have dove deep within the ceramics world and have taken my family with. In an effort to learn something new during quarantine – we have been slinging mud all the places. I’ve recently combined my love of papercrafting and pottery and will be sharing those once I perfect my technique a bit. Practice, practice, practice! Until then, more cards!!
I’ve also really, truly, been working on caring for me. I have to for my own sanity. In order to take care of my family in the ways I would like I have to allow myself to breathe. I have to have minutes, at least, for me. I’ve always been a fan of skincare and makeup, and even though I’m home more than ever, I still get up, get dressed, wash my face and put at least a little makeup on. I do it for me. I feel more productive and more me. I can conquer the day (or more!) when I’ve got myself together. As the style of so many things anymore have turned to affiliate marketing, my long time favorite makeup and skincare have too. Make your artist heart smile with personalized magnetic palettes in the makeup shades perfect for you, the colors you want – nothing wasted. I’ve never been happier to be able to ditch a drawer-full of unfinished makeup in exchange for one simple compact. Check out SEINT Beauty. Message me if you are interested in a complimentary color match or Pomifera skincare consultation. My skin has never looked or felt so good, I had to share!
Thank you for taking your time with me today. Head to Simon to find more of their awesome release or to their gallery for more inspiration! Enjoy a fantastic day, take time to care for yourself, and happy crafting!
xo, Janette
