Hiya, and welcome to another craft therapy session! Today’s post features the charming Winter Scene from the Simon Says Stamp new release, Fun & Festive. It was so relaxing to sit and do a little ink blending and Copic coloring. Now, if I could just take a few days at this peaceful little cabin. Ah, that would be amazing!
Fun & Festive New Release Favorites
A few of my favorite things from the new Simon Says Stamp Fun & Festive release!
To create this card, stamp background scene on Bristol Smooth Cardstock. Ink blend with Distress Oxides in Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers Blueprint Sketch, Wilted Violet and Picked Raspberry with the awesome new Life Changing Blending Brushes from Picket Fence Studios to create the sky. You guys, these blending brushes are amazing! So soft and fine. They cause no streaks and one package has a multitude of sizes.
After blending at an angle to create a Northern Lights effect and adding a touch of Tumbled Glass for an icy blue glow at the bottom of the hills below the house for detail, trim panel down to its stamped border and mat on black cardstock.
Stamp images in Gina K’s Amalgam Black ink on white cardstock and Copic color. Fussy or die cut images. Foam mount scene to Stitched Whirl Background panel. White emboss sentiment on black and apply with dimensional adhesive. Arrange images on and around panel and sentiment adhering some with dimensional adhesive and tucking others behind elements. Have fun with it!
Add a shine effect to the bulbs with a white Gelly Roll pen!
