Hello and welcome, friends! Today I am sharing about the Reverse Confetti Stock Your Stash Challenge here and over on the Reverse Confetti blog. The idea behind the challenge is to build your stash of cards so that when needed you already have one ready to go. The theme for June’s Stock Your Stash Challenge is “Hello/Just Because” and runs through the end of the month. June’s theme is my absolute favorite reason to send a card – none at all!
Enter the challenge by creating a card with this month’s theme and uploading it through the link on the Reverse Confetti Stock Your Stash Challenge blog post.
Whenever I pull out my alcohol inks to play, I end up with dozens of panels. Once dry, I store them in a drawer to use as often as I can. Cover panels, like this Oh My Heart Confetti Cut, are perfect… especially for those inked panels that weren’t so loved as a whole!
I pulled this panel from my stash, but this is how I created it… wet glossy cardstock or even photo paper with 91% isopropyl alcohol. Add a few drops of pink, raspberry, salmon, orange and brass alcohol inks. Shift and meld colors together with a puffer orby blowing through a straw. Allow to dry.
Die cut Oh My Heart Cover Panel Confetti Cut from the alcohol inked panel and Polar White cardstock. Apply dry tape adhesive densely to Polar White 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” folded card base. Then press white die cut frame in place, minus the hearts. Nestle in the alcohol inked hearts creating an organic form and then fill remaining spaces with white hearts. Save all remaining die cuts for a secondary or reverse color project.
Gold glitter heat emboss OMG outline and then stamp the coordinating letter image in Bellini ink. The Bellini inked letters and gold embossing highlight the same shades and shine in the nested hearts.
And while Stocking Your Stash is so satisfying, I also encourage you to get those cards out of hibernation and mail them. Unexpected happy mail is one of the best ways to brighten day. Thank you for taking your time with me today, happy crafting!
I’ll always do my best to link you to shops with products in stock. As you know, inventory levels are always fluctuating and therefore may not be available. Please use the retailer notification buttons to let them know you want more!
