Welcome friends! Today we are celebrating Reverse Confetti’s 7th birthday! And while their new release has been pushed out a month due to COVID complications, we are still shakin’ it up with a blog hop! Join myself and several other designers for a look at birthday inspired projects. Timely, as my stash is running low. Birthday cards are always the first to go!

Begin by watercoloring a background of Karin BrushMarker Pro watercolor pens in Sky Blue and Egyptian Blue on an A2 panel of Smooth Bristol paper. Simply scribble on color and move color loosely with a saturated brush with water. Set aside to dry.
Stamp Hippo Pool Party images, clear emboss and die cut. Color rainbow on unicorn in Cerise, Red, Amber, Gold, Grass, Sky Blue and Pale Violet. Her body is a touch of Skin 1, horn in Gold. The remaining elements are all colored with the same set of markers, with the addition of Warm Grey for the Hippo.

Die cut Hello Square and then cut just the bottom strips two more times. Extend the die cut to a full A2 height by adhering the Hello Square to top section of an A2 (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) acetate sheet. Then adhere the additional bottom strips below the square, overlapping a smidge, to complete the Hello panel.
Stamp sentiment in black onto a trimmed oval shape, bending the stamp to follow the curve of the design. Arrange, tuck and adhere all other elements in place.
Turn hello panel to the back and build perimeter walls with 2 layers of foam tape. Be sure to add foam tape to hidden center areas for a sturdy shaker (no one wants a saggy shaker! LOL!). Add clear confetti style sequins on top of dry watercolor blue background . Add liquid glue to the exposed foam tape to allow a bit of wiggle room for the hello panel to be easily centered. Adhere to folded card base to finish.
