Die D-Lites by Spellbinders are the cutest! They tend to be smaller sets of etched dies that go together to create adorbs vignettes for papercrafting. I’m playing with the Lover Letter dies today. This set includes 5 dies: a foldable envelope, embossed letter and three nesting hearts for about $15. Of course my Littles couldn’t get enough of them so I die cut handfuls of tiny hearts, envelopes and letters. I’ve found them in all sorts of places around the house now! Good for more than just cardmaking, apparently. Perfect for Barbies, or so it seems!
I created this card by first masking off the lower portion of an A2 (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) Bristol Smooth panel. I then ink blended Worn Lipstick, Fossilized Amber and Evergreen Bough Distress Oxides (if you haven’t tried these inks yet, you are missing out!). I then die cut the Love Letter dies from the Echo Park Summer Dreams paper pad. I stamped “I just feel like giving you a card” from Hand Drawn Everyday Messages in Hero Arts Intense Black ink. Then, I adhered all the fun little die cut pieces and sparkling clear sequins.
A happy little card created quickly and easily. It’s headed to the post office on Mail it Monday, just because! Carve out some time just for you this weekend, doctors orders! And by doctor, I mean me!
