Hello, my friend! Are the tropics calling to you like they are to me? My inbox has been sprinkled with emails about tropical vacations and I am here for it. I am waiting for things to ease up a bit before I splurge on a trip, but until then I am living vicariously through this Hero Arts Vintage Paradise stamp set!

Recreate this project by stamping the Vintage Paradise palm in Fresh Peach, Soft Apricot, Butter Bar, Tide Pool and Emerald Green inks onto Dove White cardstock. Die cut each palm. While you are at the die cutting, also die cut the largest Infinity Diamond from an A2 (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) Dove White panel.

Ink blend a simple sunset onto another slightly smaller white A2 panel. It only needs to be a bit larger than the diamond cut out, or if you are feeling brave you could blend the diamond itself! Whichever you choose, mask about 2/3rds down the panel and ink blend the top section, beginning at the horizon line, with Soft Apricot, then Butter Bar up a bit further and Summer Sky at the top. Best not to overlap the blue and yellow because green! Shift masking to cover sky and create water with Grape Juice, Deep Ocean and Summer Sky inks.
Stamp sentiment in black along the angled edge of diamond die cut main panel and add foam tape to back. While face down, remove backer paper from foam tape and adhere blended panel in place. Flip that panel and attach to folded card base. Tuck in rainbow palms and add a few sequins for a sparkly touch.
Prop up card on your desk, mantle or countertop to remind you to relax, daydream and take a little mental vacay!
If you are a fan of Instagram (and if you’re not, what are you waiting for?!?) there is a hop celebrating my friend, Anne-Laure, that features this card along with many from others and there is a GIVEAWAY. You can find my stop on that hop HERE.
Thank you for spending a few minutes with me today. Have an incredible weekend. I’m out of the craft room and onto the patio to play in the mud with pottery! Happy crafting to us all!
xo, Janette
