Hiya, friends! Okay, so who here is stuck in the stamping in black rut? Me, me, me! Granted, black is the most obvious choice for many stamping applications, but what about all those colored inks you just had to have? They are gorgeous, right? Well, they aren’t just for ink blending! (Though they are awesome for that too!)
Today, I am sharing two projects with you. One here and one over on the Hero Arts blog. Both use many of the same products because one idea for a stamp set is just not enough! I want you to get bang for your buck, so two cards it is today!
Then partially die cut at an angle with the largest Infinity Rounded Rectangle. To do this, allow the blended panel and die to stick out of the die cutting sandwich as it runs through your machine. The only part that will cut is the part inside in the sandwich. Without trimming panel further, dry fit to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ Dove White cardstock panel at an angle along with clean Teacup stamp. Once the layout is adjusted to fit, stamp teacup in Copic friendly Intense Black ink. Mask outer edge of teacup and stamp flower, also from Teacup Flowers, in Fresh Peach.
Copic color cup in C00, C1, C2 and C3. Ground the cup with the same colors below, adding Colorless Blender (a Copic in 0) to soften edges. Add fun foam to back of blended panel and adhere in place to teacup panel. Trim excess blended panel along the edges of the white panel, from the back. Now that the blended panel is supported by fun foam, stamp sentiment from Spill The Tea in Black Dye ink. If using a MISTI, remove its black inner foam layer as the fun foam added to the card will act in its place. Make steam swirls with Precision Glue and Snowfall Glitter. Last, adhere finished panel to folded card base.
Thank you for spending your time with me today. Happy crafting and we’ll see you soon!
