Yes, they are making a comeback!). Full set for me, please!
New Release Favorites
I love the Peek-A-Boo Door series that Hero has released. In the past it has included the square Peek-A-Boo Doors Fancy Die along with its companion cling stamps Presents, Ice Cream and Venetian Neighborhood. New to the lineup is a Circular Peek-A-Boo Door that works with all the past stamps in addition to the cutest Winter Village and Halloween Scene. Get more for your money by expanding your collection and interchanging the elements for more creative fun. Oh, and fill out the trifecta with small stamp sets to fit behind those doors with Mini Messages and the new Christmas Messages. Even these Winter Forest Animals fit!
Recreate by stamping Winter Village Peek-A-Boo Cling onto and A2 Bristol paper panel with Intens-ified Black ink. If you like to rush along allowing wet areas to touch, I recommend heat embossing clear. If you are of the patient kind embossing is not necessary. Color scene with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Remember, the heavier the ink application the brighter and more pigmented the finished result will be. I colored the sky with Deep Blue and Turquoise Green, nearly solid. Then wet the entire area and let dry naturally. Continue coloring and blending elements with water to complete the scene.
Die cut completely dry Winter Village with Circular Peek-A-Boo Doors, but for a quick hack, add a second A2 Dove White panel behind the scene before passing it through the die cutting machine. With my machine, (a standard Gemini with Junior plates), this provides a deep indentation into the Dove White panel, but does not cut through it. Thus, I have a guideline to stamp sentiments in black and hearts in Crimson from the Christmas Messages set making it align with the doors on the village perfectly. Alternatively, pass the die with one sheet of Dove White through your machine with an embossing mat. Each machine is different from brand to brand and even plate wear to warpage. Play around to see what works best for you.
