Welcome to another stop on the July 2020 Hero Arts My Monthly Hero kit hop! This month’s kit is taking us to Atlantis and the add-ons?!? Oh my goodness, they are awesome! I created two kit cards and didn’t think I’d have much time to play beyond that, but I did squeak out one more bonus project because those add-ons were calling for me! I cannot wait to get back to the craft room to create with more!

This Month's Add-On Collection
Recreate this card, or something like it, by ink blending Creamsicle, Lemon Drop, Blue Hawaii and Pool Party Reactive Inks on 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ Dove White cardstock. Set aside to dry. Stamp sea floor background layer in Splash Reactive Ink. Stamp second layer, sea floor detail, in Creamsicle Reactive and the final coral layer in Lemon Drop Reactive Ink. Blue Hawaii, Splash, Pool Party, Key Lime Fizz, Taffy Reactive Ink cubes are included in kit!
Die cut color-layered complete coral reef image and adhere with dimensional adhesive over ink blended panel. Stamp additional elements or critters to add to project. I two-toned a couple by inking up one side, dabbing inked edge with my finger for a smooth transition, and then repeating with another color on the opposite side. Die cut images, and adhere flat or popped to your liking. White detail heat emboss sentiment and adhere finished panel to folded card base.
I have a thing for creating these top 1/3 card designs. They just work so well and always seem to give the balance of color/activity and white that I like to see.

Create this card by masking horizontally about 1/3 of the way down a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ Dove White cardstock panel. Protect the whole bottom section of the card with masking paper or even just scratch paper. Stamp School of Fish Bold Print in Tide Pool to Navy Ombre ink in the exposed section. Of course this gradation technique can be done with individual ink pads, but the Ombre inks are 3-in-one and do all the colors with one swoop. Ink blend over stamped image, with masking in place, using the dark and the light shade from the same ink pad. Remove masking. Adhere a slim Pitch Black cardstock strip over another strip of Circle Pattern Bold Print stamped in black, and adhere to bottom of blending.
