I did it, I made another video tutorial! Ah, this time with the gorgeous Bouquet stamp from Hero Arts and flick style coloring with pencils. You guys, you have no idea how accomplished I feel when I have wrapped a video up. Head on over to the Hero Arts blog to get all the details on the card and of course, the video, YAY!
Have a fantastic week, my friends – and yes, squeeze in a bit of Creative Bliss for yourself. You’ll be happy you did!
xo, Janette
Awesome card, I love your coloring and the alcohol ink background!
Beautiful flowers!!
Wow Janette, its gorgeous and thank you for the great tutorial I watched on the Hero Arts blog!
I have a QUESTION, I also have the Polychromos and have use a few different pencil sharpeners because I love sharp pencils. But non of the shapeners do it well, wich kind do you use?
Henriëtte, thanks so much for the kind words! I appreciate them greatly. I replied to your comment over on the Hero Arts blog, but theirs doesn’t let the commenter know there has been a reply. 🙁 I am so glad you came here to ask as well! 🙂
I have two pencil sharpeners I love. One is the Bostitch Quiet Sharp 6. It accommodates several pencil sizes and is kept in my craft room. I also love the iPoint Orbit that is in the common area of our home. Both are plugin models as I find battery operated versions are inconsistent and weak, in addition to burning through batteries. I purchased both on Amazon.

Do remember to insert the pencil nice and straight. Keep a firm hand on it. Tilting the pencil while sharpening can cause lead breakage.
Thanks for visiting today! <3
Janette, thanks for your answer. I have to look for one that can be used in the Netherlands, whe have 220/240 v instead of 110v.
I hope to find the Bostitch because I hear a lot of complains about the IPoint, it would “eat” your pencils.
Good luck on your hunt for the perfect sharpener! In regards to the iPoint, I haven’t had it eat my pencils more than I thought necessary. Granted, I don’t put too much pressure either. xo- J
Love that shiny background. Your nailes kind of match (which I thought was great also). Thanks for the video. I want to try that background.
Haha, thanks! I didn’t plan for them to match, but I did realize that they did. Guess I’m in a gold phase!
Hi Janette,
I have just received some Prismocolour pencils for my birthday so I am looking for video tutorials for some help in colouring with them. I went on to the Hero Arts Blog and watched your video tutorial on creating this project. It was fabulous I was enthralled from start to finish. I loved your inked background and the flicking technique for the colouring was new to me which I found interesting too. The finished project was amazing. :O)
