Hello, hello! As many of you know I am a crafter of all the things. My blog here is dedicated to papercrafts, but I also love to sew clothing and quilts, embroider, bead, paint, interior decorate and on and on. Really, real life gets in the way an awful lot! That extra day between Saturday and Sunday still eludes me, but I am still on the lookout!
I am popping in today with a project featuring a new release stamp set by Melanie Muenchinger for Gina K Designs. It is EMBROIDERY, y’all! Of course I could not pass up the opportunity to stamp with a set that mimics embroidery in a fraction of the time!
Recreate this project by ink blending with Stormy Sky around the perimeter of an A2 white cardstock panel. Let dry thoroughly or use a heat tool to speed along. Dust panel with cornstarch or other antistatic powder and then heat emboss Embroidered Flowers with Pink Popsicle powder. Fill in spaces with leaves and Duchess Blue embossing powder.
Lastly, fill in the remaining spaces with just a dot and white embossing. To make backgrounds like this most successful start with the largest designs first, then fill in with the next smallest, then the next smallest, etc… The idea is much like the fill a jar with rocks, then pebbles, then sand and then water.
White emboss a sentiment (this set is free with a $75 order from Gina K!) on Navy cardstock with a gold glitter accent. Adhere popped to decorated card panel over a figure eight of golden thread and then to a folded card base.
Such beautiful 6″ x 8″ clear stamp set. So many gorgeous floral images, and even a needle and thread!
This Massive Peony 6″ x 8″ clear stamp set stunner is new, as well. It just jumped in my cart and is coming home to live with me. Fingers crossed I get to play with it on paper soon!
Friends, clicking through blogs and watching YouTube is all fun and inspiring, but I do hope you are making time to create too! Thank you for spending your time with me. I hope you have a brilliant day (and get to make something too)!
