Hello, crafty friends! Today, I am sharing a little something from the Ellen Hutson November 2019 release. The talented folks over at EH have debuted several great designs this past week, and though I am only using one set on this post, you can find the full line up HERE.
I haven’t been hitting the craft room so often as of late so this zeppelin was a super fun reprieve from the busy-ness of everyday life!
Begin with an A2 (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) panel of 110# Neenah Solar White cardstock. Blend The Stamp Market Inks (which I am LOVING, BTW!) from the bottom right corner up to the top with Fresh Pink, Peach, Sea Glass and then Navy. Then splatter watered down white acrylic paint with a stiff paint brush off the edge of an acrylic block leaving flecks and splatters of color across the blended panel.
As the splattered blended panel dries, stamp the images in Copic friendly black ink and die cut. Copic color zeppelin and banner in 0, N0, N1, N2, N4, R39, R35 and R32. Add a touch of color to the bottom of the clouds with N0. Stamp birds, crowd and banner sentiment with black ink and then trim panel a smidge so that it has a trim border when foam mounted to an A2 card base. Adhere clouds flat, and pop zeppelin and banner. Attach black thread with liquid glue to connect the two.
Generally speaking, zeppelins are not the speediest of all skyward things. Another option is to have the banner hanging below the zeppelin. The stamp set does include a connecting line with a cute bow for that! There is also a darling tree!
Thank you for spending a few minutes with me today. May your weekend be filled with crafty bliss! All the mojo for you!
