Welcome to today’s installment of cardmaking! This is just the beginning of a week full of awesomeness with products by The Ton Stamps. I cannot tell you how thrilled I am to have been invited as a design team member. I have long featured their products here on my blog because I just adore them. For me, this invitation is icing on the cake!
To create this card I first began by watercoloring the Dahlia Close-up heat embossed image. Next, I heat embossed a Brushed Thanks chipboard die cut 7 times (yes 7!) with a dark purple metallic embossing powder for a metal like appearance. I then die cut “Thank” at an angle across the trimmed A2 watercolor piece and again at the same position across an A2 white panel. I assembled the opposite top and bottom panels for a two toned effect. Then stamped the sentiment with Violet Fringe and Grape Crush Couture Color ink to create the perfect match to the purple embossing powder. Last, drop the “Thank” die cut into the recessed area that remains and adhere Dew Drops for the perfect finish.
You can find this card as design team inspiration over at The Ton Stamps Challenge Blog. This month the cue word is “Anything Goes”. Up for grabs is a $50 gift certificate to The Ton Stamps retail shop.
Come play along and see what all the fuss is about! And even if you choose not to enter, it is a great place to check out inspiration created with The Ton products by the design team and by all the entrants.
