Happy Wednesday, my friends! Only a few more days to the weekend, yay! We can do it, we can do it, we can do it!
Today’s card again features The Ton Stamps recent release. I’m telling ya, there is so much goodness within this release that the cards I’ve made with it are plentiful! The stamp sets are sure to think their home is atop my workspace they have been there so long. I haven’t even filed them away yet! I do have some new goodies heading my way, so no doubt more lovelies will be posted soon.
Seven?!?! Are you kidding me? That is my favorite number! The winners from my recent Instagram giveway are commenter #7, @sybil_stephens, and the friend she tagged, @scrappaperart. Ladies, I have tagged you on Instagram. Please private message me your snail mail addresses and I’ll get your boxes right off to you!
***December 31, 2016 Update: This card was also featured on Trending with the Ton, yay! Thank you, Effie. It is an honor to be a part of your blog amongst such amazing designers! You can visit The Ton, too!***
First, I stamped the florals from Fresh Cut Garden Roses (Coordinating Outlines) on masking paper and fussy cut them. I then used Distress Inks to ink up the large rose with 3 colors (listed below) simultaneously. Lightly mist the stamp with water and stamp onto the A2 card panel for a watercolor-y effect. I used standard cardstock since just very little water was used. Mask that image and repeat with more rose images building and arc, or any shape that works for you. Once the florals are in and masks are all in still in place, go back and fill in foliage inked up with several greens. Follow the same steps using Folk Art Florals for the background panel exposed on the right.
Remove all masks and trim panel to be about 3/4″ narrower. Stamp sentiment in black, then Versamark Frost Dazzle and emboss with clear detail powder. Cover the right side of the background panel in Versamark Frost Dazzle and then clear emboss with 2 layers of clear detail powder. Versamark Frost Dazzle is like traditional Versamark only it has a touch of shimmer.
To assemble, add a strip of black glitter paper to right of main panel and pop whole panel with foam tape or fun foam. Adhere to background panel and then to card base. Top with a few clear sequins for added pizzaz.
Thank you for stopping by today and remember, just a few more days to the weekend!
