It’s Fri-yay, my friends! Today, and the next few Fri-yay’s, I will be bringing you Concord & 9th love. I met Angie and Amy of C9 at Simon Says Create, a stamping event in Ohio. These girls – they are the best. I feel a fantastic sense of satisfaction and joy when I meet faces behind a company and they are as amazing as their products. These girls, they represent! I was flattered when they said they had seen my work and would like me to guest for them. A resounding yes followed… and maybe a wee bit of blushing!
So fast forward a few short weeks and here we are showcasing Concord & 9th’s May release. This week we are focusing on the new Oh, Hello Turnabout stamp. It is super clever and easy to use. You’ll find the entire month’s release products linked up at the bottom of the post, as well as the 2 additional stamp sets of Concord & 9th’s that I used to create these cards. Each week we’ll be focusing on a new set from May…. which is turning out to be an amazing month, btw! 😉

I know I come to you each week with stamp sets I love, that’s because I DO! I only have so much time and choose to work with products I adore. Concord & 9th’s Oh, Hello Turnabout stamp set does not disappoint. It is a follow-up to their best selling Triangle Turnabout stamp set from last month.
I began by setting up a jig and aligning the stamp in my Misti. You can see a C9 video on that process here, tips here and a template here.

With each 90* turn I stamped in a new Distress Oxide ink color, Broken China, Cracked Pistachio, Vintage Photo and the hubby suggested Fossilized Amber for the 4th color – perfect! I then used the Broken China ink pad itself to color another strip of paper, sprinkled on a few dots of water for texture, embossed “That’s All,” and stacked 3 layers of the “Hello” die cut. The final touches included a touch of black glitter paper across the bottom, sequins and a black sparkle marker over “Hello” before adhering in place. Super fun and by leaving the sequins off it can be masculine too.

This card background was completed much the same as the first, but with 3 different colors of embossing powder. I went with Ranger Black Detail, Clear Detail and Holographic. I watercolored the “You Are Enough” stamp set flower and fussy cut it. The gold band was created by lightly brushing Minc Screen Ink across cardstock and foiling it in Rose Gold Deco Foil. I then heat embossed the “Oh, Hello There” sentiment over the foiling. Once those layers are adhered together you have a classy card you can keep to admire yourself, or send as happy mail to brighten a friend’s day!

Thank you for visiting today. I hope you’ve enjoyed this introductory peek at the new Concord & 9th May release! There is more to come, you won’t want to miss it!
From me to you, take some time for yourself this weekend. Enjoy your Creative Bliss, whatever and wherever, that may be.
xoxo, Janette
