Raise your hand if you color in coloring books, or would like to. Now, how many of you think why – what will I do with that? Just leave it tucked away in the book? I think that way. Please tell me I am not the only one! A while back I participated in the 30 Day Coloring Challenge. Some days I carved out only 5 minutes to get my color on, other days more. I created pieces I liked, but certainly wasn’t satisfied leaving them closed in a book. So, I say, let them see the light!

*** As of September 25th, 2016, Ellen Hutson has the Tula Pink coloring book on sale for 1/2 price. This coloring book is retiring. There aren’t many left, so hop on over HERE to get one now before it’s to late! ***

This is a page from a Tula Pink coloring book. The original post is found here and contains links (some are affiliate links) to the products I used way back when.

I trimmed a piece of clear acetate down to A2 size (4.25″ x 5.5″) so that I could audition exactly where I wanted to trim my card. With that set in place, I stamped Happy Birthday with Black Staz On ink so that I could then audition the sentiment in place, too.

If you mis-stamp, wipe away ink with rubbing alcohol and try again. Remember, this is just offering a trial so no need to be precise. Once that was all set, I marked lightly around the acetate and trimmed the card. Then, stamped the sentiment on the card with Delicata Golden Glitz ink and heat embossed with Ranger Gold Tinsel embossing powder. Finally, I gave that birdie a 3 dimensional eye with an Ebony Nuvo dot.

See you again soon, friends!
