Hiya, friends and happy Saturday to you! Today, I am sharing with you a challenge post with Dare 2B Artzy. The first Saturday of each month D2BA has a themed challenge where you can create a card or scrapbook layout and enter to win your choice of a stamp set and an ink pad by D2BA. This month’s theme is Lots of Layers.
So fun, right? If you’d like to see inspiration by other team members or entrants head on over to the Lots of Layers Challenge. To play along just upload your picture through the blue “Add Your Link” button near the bottom of the post.
Layer 2: Trim D2BA Flower Power diamond-ish design along pattern edge for fun detail, adhere to card base.
Layer 3: Die cut white cardstock with a decorative edge die. Splatter with your choice of shimmery paint or ink. Adhere to layer 2 with Fun Foam or tape for dimension.
Layer 4: Die or hand cut flag shape and ink blend with a water reactive ink like Distress Inks. Lay a background stamp larger than the flag where the stamping area is face up. Mist with water, then place the ink side of your flag down onto the stamp. Careful to not wiggle. Lift carefully to avoid smudging. Once dry, adhere with a dimensional adhesive of your choice.
Layer 5: Stamp pup from Ruff Day or Puppy Talk in D2BA Chocolate Chip Hybrid ink and color. I used Copics in: E49, E59, E37, E35, E31, E30 for main fur. R22 for tongue. W0, W1, and W3 for spots. R37, R29, R24, RV000 for collar and heart. Stamp sentiment and bubble from Puppy Talk. Fussy or die cut images. Die Cut paw print love and coat with a shimmer pen. Adhere direct to layer 4, but do add a touch of dimensional adhesive to the left of the word bubble to keep it lifted. Add extra shimmer to “love” with Irresistible Pico Embellisher in Shimmer. Add any liquid accents last, if possible, so that they may dry untouched.
Thank you, friends, for paying me a visit today. I appreciate you!
